The Third Congressional District Republican primary debate, sponsored by the Chattanooga Times Free Press and WRCB Channel 3, will be held Monday, May 21, at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga’s Roland Hayes Concert hall, located at the corner of Vine and Palmetto Streets. The debate begins at 6:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
At this time, participants include: U.S. Rep. Chuck Fleischmann, Ron Bhalla and Weston Wamp.
Questions submitted by the public have been submitted to the Chattanooga Times Free Press by email and questions may be submitted by the public the night of the event.
Bhalla, Fleischmann and Wamp will make opening statements. Candidates will then answer a mix of questions from audience members and from journalists at the Chattanooga Times Free Press and WRCB Channel 3. Topics will include health care, tax reform, national security, and local issues.
