UTC is leading all other Hamilton County organizations in support of underprivileged and foster care children with the 2012 Student Alumni Council Angel Tree Service Project, now in its tenth year.
“In the last three years, UTC supported between 100 and 125 children. This year, we wanted to increase the number,” explained Adrienne Teague, Assistant Director of UTC Alumni Affairs.
The SAC took the challenge and delivered gifts for 178 youngsters to the Hamilton County Department of Children’s Services. Teague confirmed it took two trips in three SUVs to transport all the presents!
Sweet little hands crafted the blue and gold ornaments for the holiday tree in Founders Hall. Students from the UTC Children’s Center got a little boost from staff members as they hung their art pieces. Enjoy the video of the children with music provided by the UTC Master Chorale.
