“Common Sense Immigration Reform: A Matter of Justice and Faith in Action” will be presented by the UTC Criminal Justice Department on Thursday, April 18, 5 -7 p.m., Chattanooga Choo Choo, Imperial Ballroom.
Keynote speaker will be Sister Mary Ellen Lacy, a lobbyist for NETWORK: A National Catholic Social Justice Lobby and one of the NUNS ON THE BUS, who gained notoriety in 2012 with a nine-state bus tour to speak out against a Republican federal budget proposal they said favored wealthy Americans at the expense of poor families.
