The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga celebrated the second annual Blue and Gold Memorial ceremony, to remember students, faculty, staff, retirees, and alumni who have passed away during the last year.
“We have heard many times that a University is not make of bricks and mortars, but of people—students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends—who come together for the common goals of sharing and creating knowledge and applying that knowledge in the service of others,” Dr. Richard Brown, Executive Vice Chancellor for Finance, Operations, and Information Technology, said.
“We are a family. And like any other family, we experience highs and suffer lows. We welcome new members and mourn those we lose. And most importantly, we do these things together,” he continued.
