UTC alumna Lydia Flanders ‘06 was selected to introduce President Barack Obama when he visited the Chattanooga Amazon facility on Tuesday, July 30. The mother of three said she and her husband became unemployed during the recent recession. In 2012, they were hired for seasonal work at Amazon, where they have since been promoted to leadership positions.
