In a partnership with Cornerstones, Inc., a non-profit historic preservation organization, students from the UTC Department of Interior Design worked with local architects and designers on plans to reimagine several historic downtown buildings.
The project was part of the curriculum for Interior Design 4151, a senior level class. Two of the student winners—Meredith Feira and Hanna Durham—reimagined the Tadley Building, located on corner of Douglas Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard as a revitalized space that could include retail stores, a music studio, and dance hall.
