Jenny Park ’11 was recently featured in a national publication by the American Planning Association (APA). The article “New Planners on the Block” describes Park’s interesting approach to establish more public transportation resources in the Chattanooga area. She explains in the AMA article.
The Master of Public Administration (MPA) alumna was working as a senior planner at the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Regional Planning Agency when the article was published in November 2014. Park recently become the Strategic Capital Planner for the City of Chattanooga, housed in the Mayor’s Office in Chattanooga.
“Through UTC’s MPA program, I learned to strive for efficient and effective delivery of public services, knowing there would be many challenges to achieving these. Being solution-oriented and leveraging productive collaborations are important pieces of keeping government moving in the 21st century,” Park said.
