UTC alumni Patrick Sutton and Brant Donlon are teaming up for the Chattanooga Sports Committee to grow sports tourism in the Scenic City. They graduated in December 2013 and landed newly created positions.
Black male student initiative boosts retention and graduation rates
A highly structured program focused on more than success in the classroom is increasing the number of black male graduates at UTC.
Student Support Services (SSS) launched the University’s first-ever black male initiative, Black Males on Campus (BMOCS) in fall 2010 to promote the retention of black male students so that they can succeed and graduate from UTC. Not only does this program focus on success in the classroom, it also addresses social, cultural, emotional, personal and financial issues.

The first time award-winning photojournalist Billy Weeks ’84 flew to Central America, he was on assignment for the U.S. military in 1999. He was bound for El Salvador, where American troops were helping to rebuild schools and buildings in the aftermath of Hurricane Mitch.
Get In The Game, Save a Life and donate blood to Bloodanooga on February 25-26
It’s a no-brainer for Heather Parman, UTC alumna and Mocs volleyball player: she wants UTC to Get In The Game and become part of Be The Match Registry, the cell registry that pairs potential donors with patients suffering from blood cancers.

See Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues February 13-15
For the sixth consecutive year, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga will present a benefit production of Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues on Thursday, February 13 at 7 p.m., Friday, February 14, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, February 15, at 2 p.m. at the University Center Auditorium.

UTC Nursing students are raising money for a trip to Guatemala
In many parts of the world people don’t have the same readily available access to healthcare that most people in the United States have. UTC School of Nursing (SON) students are raising the money to take a trip to one such place, Guatemala City, to try to change that.
UTC TV Studio renovated
