Robert Fisher, Brock Scholar, Rhodes Scholar, Truman Scholar, and two-term SGA President has graduated from UTC with a Bachelor of Science: Political Science and a minor in history and in Africana Studies.
As a Rhodes Scholar, Fisher will begin the pursuit of his master’s degree at the University of Oxford. He has visited England in the past, but Fisher has not seen the historic research institution—it will be a new experience for the UTC graduate when he begins classes in October.
He’ll have a busy schedule before he leaves.
He plans to attend a leadership development program, and then Fisher is off to Prague and Budapest for a cultural seminar with the UTC Honors College.
He will spend May 24-July 27 in Washington, D.C., where he will likely work in a federal government agency as part of the Truman Scholar program.
There will be time to visit with his family in August and September.
Hear an interview with Fisher by Richard Winham, host at WUTC.

Well done! This is the kind of role model we need to send in our inner-city schools.
