A musical arrangement by renowned musician and arranger and retired UTC Professor of Music Roland Carter was featured during the funeral service of the Rev. Clementa Pinckney on Friday. President Obama delivered the eulogy for the slain minister and South Carolina State Senator.
Carter’s version of “In Bright Mansions Above” was sung to the congregation that included family and friends, national and state political leaders, as well as members of Pinckney’s congregation from Emanuel AME Church.
