It’s never too early to start thinking about employment, and the UTC Career & Student Employment Center is offering a number of events to help you on your way.
Over 100 employers will be looking to hire students from all majors at Spring Career Day, on Wednesday, February 3, from 10 am – 2 pm in Maclellan Gym (note the new location).
Don’t wait until then to start preparing. The Career & Student Employment Center is offering a number of events preceding Career Day to help you be ready!
There will be a Fashion Mob event where different UTC representatives will be dressed in different levels of “Ready” to “Not Ready for Career Day” attire. Check them out as they mingle in the UC on January 26 from 11:55 am – 1:15 pm.
If you need help pitching yourself to potential employers, come to the “Pitch Perfect Workshop,” where Marc Holcomb will provide tips for making a successful first impression with your Elevator Pitch and networking on Wednesday, January 27th, at 3:30 pm in the UC Sequoyah Room. Think Achieve cards will be distributed and collected.
Don’t neglect to make sure your resume is in tip top shape. On Friday, January 29th, bring your printed resume for an individual 15 minute review session during Resume Dr. Walk-In Hours, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, in the Career & Student Employment Center, in UC Room 315.
