WUTC’s Michael Miller sat down and talked with Grace Toney Edwards to learn more about The Common Lot and Other Stories and the life and legacy of Emma Bell Miles. Edwards edited and composed the introduction to this collection of works by Chattanooga native Emma Bell Miles, who lived on Walden’s Ridge in the early twentieth century and is known for her writing and works of art (that can be found at the UTC Library here).
Edwards notes,
“She [Miles] was very much a nature lover. She liked going into the woods and studying the plants, the flowers, and particularly the birds.”
