Nicole Brown was recently among the 10 Chattanooga Area Women of Distinction honored by the American Lung Association in Tennessee.
The 31st Annual Chattanooga Women of Distinction Awards luncheon was held April 26 at the Chattanooga Convention Center. The event, which benefits the American Lung Association of Tennessee and its mission to prevent lung disease and promote lung health, honors one Tennessee Woman of Distinction and ten of the Chattanooga area’s most accomplished women, who have distinguished themselves within their family, career, and community. Proceeds help fund medical research, advocacy and education efforts in Tennessee.
“This honor means I have more strength and courage to motivate others to lead and serve in Chattanooga. As a first generation graduate to earn a Master’s degree, this is a leap past barriers in life for me and my family. I will always cherish this award! I am lucky to work with colleagues on and off campus that celebrate my unique skills,” Brown said.
Brown serves as Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Communication as well as an Academic Advisor. She is also the Faculty Advisor for the student run radio station, The Perch.
