Susan Davidson, Professor of Nursing and immediate past president of the UTC Faculty Senate, has been appointed a trustee representing faculty on the UT Board of Trustees.
“I was surprised and excited when Chancellor Angle asked me to serve as the faculty representative from UTC to the UT Board of Trustees. Then when I received the proclamation and letter from Governor Haslam, I was overwhelmed,” Davidson said.
“It is interesting to hear how the other UT campuses conduct business and I find especially interesting the perspective from the trustee viewpoint. The board’s focus is all about the business aspects, so I hope that I can inject the faculty and staff perspective into some of the topics and discussions that come before the board. I have much to learn and am looking forward to serving the next two years and representing the faculty voice.”
