Between the University and Me: A Panel Discussion on UTC’s Role in Black History
When: 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 27
Where: UTC Library Southern Writers Room
Details: An interactive discussion and Q&A on whether the black community is encouraged to attend UTC and supported towards successful graduation? A panel of university professors and community representatives discuss UTC’s role in teaching and preserving black history, as well as supporting black students and black culture on campus and in the local community.
It’s OK Day RHA
When: 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Feb. 28
Where: University Center Lobby
Details: RHA welcomes students to share what makes them stand-out on campus. Come to the UC and tell us what makes you unique: fill in the blank “It’s ok to be ___ at UTC” and take a picture to receive a free t-shirt.
The 14th Amendment: All a Cryin’
When: 4-5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28
Where: Multicultural Center, University Center
Details: Free screening of a short film created to recognize the violence against African-Americans by authorities with a message of hope for the future.

BLOC Awards
Details: Pull out your best dress or smoothest suit for the BLOC (Black Leaders on Campus) Awards. We’ll honor members of Black Student Alliance organizations and other members of the UTC Campus community. Please RSVP via OrgSync beginning Feb. 12th.

Details: Hosted by Justin Brown, West Chester University faculty member, this interactive workshop explores the stereotypes and prejudices of today.
