September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. Understanding the issues concerning suicide and mental health is an important way to take part in suicide prevention, help others in crisis, and change the conversation around suicide.
Throughout the last half of this month, we are hosting events geared toward mental health and wellness. All events are open to all students, staff, faculty and the Chattanooga community!
See below for the calendar of events and be sure to save the dates for our Self-Care Event: Goat Yoga! Happening on the Challenger Center field on Sept. 20, Oct. 2 and Oct. 9 with sessions at 10 a.m., 10:45 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Space is limited, UTC students, faculty and staff should email utcgoatyoga@gmail.com to reserve your spot. You will need to bring your own towel or yoga mat.
**September 25th sessions were canceled due to weather concerns. All those signed up for these sessions were emailed and moved to the new October 2nd date. Please email utcgoatyoga@utc.edu.**
