The National Weather Service forecasts thunderstorms to continue through this evening and has issued a flood warning for Hamilton County currently through 11:30 a.m. today, Sept. 27. Remember that a warning means that flooding is or will be occurring. In this instance, the northern portion of Hamilton County is experiencing flooding conditions but campus is unaffected at this time.
University operations are continuing and unchanged at this time.
UTC Emergency Services officials are monitoring the weather, and information will be shared if there are changes to campus operations.
Again, the University is operating on its regular schedule at this time.
Be safe, and exercise good judgment about circumstances affecting your personal safety or your safe transportation to or from campus. Students should communicate with their instructors if students determine their safety would be put at risk by attempting to travel to campus.

If the Executive Leadership Team determines that it is necessary to change the campus operations schedule, the Office of Communications and Marketing distributes email and text alerts, which are also shared via the University’s official social media accounts and posted on the homepage of the UTC website: www.utc.edu.

- WDEF-TV Channel 12 (Chattanooga Comcast Cable Channel 13; EPB Channel 12)
- WRCB-TV Channel 3 (Chattanooga Comcast Cable Channel 04; EPB Channel 03)
- WTVC-TV Channel 9 (Chattanooga Comcast Cable Channel 10; EPB Channel 09)
- WUTC-FM, FM88.1 which also will announce schedule changes (except 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., when the station is not staffed and operations are automated)
Communications staff also contact as many local radio stations as will answer phone calls. (Many radio stations are no longer staffed full time and operate automated systems in evening and early morning hours.)
