April is Autism Acceptance Month!
Join Mosaic for events recognizing this month all week! Monday, April 8th between 11am and 3pm in the UC Game Room, they will be providing education about how the symbol of the puzzle piece has been reclaimed as a positive representation of the many strengths individuals bring to this campus and larger community. Plus, there will be games!
Take a look at some of Mosaic’s other events coming up this week:
April 9; 11am-3pm: Color the World Autism- students will have the opportunity to add to the creation of a banner for Autism Acceptance Month. This will be located in the UC Tabling Area
April 10; 7-9pm: Movie (Life, Animated) and a panel of students with Autism who will be sharing their experiences and answering questions. The event will be held in Library Room 440
April 15; 12-4pm: Mellow Monday in the Chickamauga Room of the UC. A sensory-friendly event to educate about the benefits of sensory spaces on campus.
April 17; 12-2pm: ASD Workshop: Autism Confidence University in the Ocoee Room. A workshop to provide information about Autism and how to be an effective ally on campus and in the larger community.
