Convocation
When: 10-11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 16
Where: McKenzie Arena
Admission: Free and open to the public
Details: All freshmen, incoming transfer students, and incoming graduate students are invited to this welcome to UTC event! You will meet Scrappy, our spirit squads, and our administration, and you will learn some chants, songs, and facts that every good Moc should know! At the end of the event, you will fill in the 2023 (your graduating class year) for our iconic aerial photo!

Operation Move In
When: 8 a.m.-12 p.m., even room numbers; 12-4 p.m., odd room numbers; Thursday, Aug. 15
Where: UTC residence halls
Details: Community volunteers welcome! Assist students with unloading and moving their items into the residence halls.

Summer Fellows Symposium
When: 4-6 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 28
Where: University Center Chattanooga Room
Admission: Free and open to the public
Details: The UR Summer Fellows Symposium showcases faculty mentored research projects completed during the summer semester. Projects focus on a wide range of topics and issues, and most are community-based, proposing solutions to issues that impact the local Chattanooga community.
