In Celebration of UTC’s 133rd Anniversary

The annual faculty and staff appreciation event, Mocs Games 2019, will include games such as cornhole, horseshoes and giant Jenga. UTC Chancellor Steve Angle and Interim UT System President Randy Boyd will join us to show their appreciation for employees’ service. Fun foods and treats will be available, and everyone in attendance will receive a special giveaway.
Guests are also encouraged to bring non-perishable food, kitchenware and personal care items for Scrappy’s Cupboard, the emergency food assistance program available to all UTC students.

Each year, UTC honors the dedicated staff and faculty through the Service Awards program. The event celebrates those UTC employees reaching milestone years of five, 10, 15 and up to 40 years of service. Honorees and their respective guest will receive a complimentary ticket to attend.
UTC Sports Complex Historical Markers Unveiling

Our campus and neighborhood communities will gather to celebrate the newly installed historical markers at the sports complex. A brief program will be featured, and guests will be able to walk through the path to view the markers on their own.

11 Hours of Remembrance Walk/Run

Chamberlain Field
UTC’s Army ROTC will remember and honor the victims and service members killed and injured, as well as those whose heroic actions prevented more deaths, during the terror attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. During this remembrance event, participants can carry an American flag or a flag of one of the U.S. Armed Services and take at least one lap around the field. Participants may walk or run and do so individually or as a group. Flags will be available to sign out at the UTC ROTC tent next to Starbucks, but you also may bring your own American or service flag.
Scholarship Luncheon

The annual Scholarship Luncheon brings scholarship donors and student recipients together to honor the generosity of donors and celebrates students’ academic achievement as scholarship recipients. The event offers students an opportunity to say “thank you” and to discuss their academic and career aspirations with donors, university officials and friends.
