Every year, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga honors staff and faculty with service awards recognizing employees for reaching milestones in five-year increments.
This year, 207 faculty and staff are honored for reaching significant service totals, including two celebrating their 50th anniversaries at UTC—psychology professor Ralph Hood and Sue Stephens, senior administrative services assistant in facilities.
In addition, four others reached the milestone of 40 years with UTC: Michael Bell, assistant dean of the library; longtime music department faculty Monte Coulter and Jocelyn Sanders; and Sandra Farris, who recently retired after having worked in multiple departments at UTC, including McKenzie Arena.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the University was unable to host an in-person event as traditionally part of Founder’s Week activities.
