“College Goal Tennessee 2015: Navigating Your Success” is a half-day conference for high school students, college students, parents, and educators. The conference will be held at UTC on Saturday, January 31.
Registration and a meet and greet begin at 8:30 a.m. and the conference will run from 9 a.m.–1 p.m. in the UTC University Center. It is free and open to the public. Lunch will be provided to participants. Register here or register the day of the conference at 8:30 a.m.
As part of College Goal Tennessee, there will be on-site assistance to file the Free Application For Student Aid (FAFSA), which is required for all federal and state aid recipients.
This conference also offers the opportunity to learn about the challenges of applying for and attending college. There will be discussions on topics including financial literacy, navigating the NCAA, navigating highly selective colleges, social and emotional barriers to academic success, resume writing and interviewing skills, and others.
This conference is being sponsored by UTC with the Public Education Foundation, Young and Wiser, Inc., and the Southern Association for College Admission Counseling.
