WUTC—Professional radio right on campus
Come learn about student opportunities with WUTC, the National Public Radio affiliate licensed to the campus. The station features NPR news and information programming along with an eclectic mix of local music programming. There are several opportunities for communication students to gain valuable experience through the station.
Michael Edward Miller, executive producer of WUTC’s “Around and About,” will talk about writing for radio, radio journalism, and internship opportunities with the station. “Around and About” is a locally produced program highlighting regional news, public affairs, and community features.
Richard Winham, producer and host of WUTC’s afternoon music programming, will discuss “Mocs Mix,” a series of student-produced music programs airing each weeknight.
