Barry Moser, Alumnus and Chattanooga native, is returning to campus for a book signing of his recently published We Were Brothers: A Memoir on Tuesday, October 27 at 6:30 P.M. in the Andrew C. Roth Reading Room of the UTC Library. The event is free and open to the public.
As an illustrator, Moser has an impressive portfolio of over 300 books including Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Moby Dick, and The Pennyroyal Caxton Bible. In addition to his expansive work as an illustrator, Moser is also a printer, painter, designer, printmaker, essayist, author, and teacher.
“The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga boasts one of the world’s largest collections of illustrator Barry Moser’s works including books, personal papers, and the original woodblocks for many of his beautiful and intricate engravings. The Library is delighted to host the book signing for Moser’s latest, We Were Brothers: A Memoir. It’s a poignant book that provides invaluable insight into Moser’s formative years as well as his work,” said Carolyn Runyon, Assistant Head, Collection Services and Director, Special Collections for the Library.
