The show will take place in the Multicultural Center (UC-3rd Floor) on Thursday and Friday, February 18 – 19, at 7 P.M., and Saturday, February 20, at 2 P.M. Tickets are $5 for students (with Mocs ID) and $10 for general admission and may be purchased by contacting the Women’s Center (423-425-5605) or at the door.
“The Vagina Monologues tells women’s stories and experiences through the power of both laughter and tears. The monologues address issues ranging from the hilarity of visiting the gynecologist to rape as a war crime and everything in between. The audience always leaves more empowered and informed about women throughout the world,” said Sara Peters, Women’s Center Director.
Hailed by The New York Times as “funny” and “poignant” and by the Daily News as “intelligent” and “courageous,” The Vagina Monologues, based on interviews with over 200 women, dives into the mystery, humor, pain, power, wisdom, outrage and excitement buried in women’s experiences.
