UTC offers Living Learning Communities (LLC) to students for the opportunity to live together and take courses together in an environment focused on their interests or majors. These communities are designed to foster relationships among incoming students from the moment they step foot on campus.
Incoming freshman currently have six different options for LLC’s:
-Business
-Discover and Declare (for undecided majors)
-High Achieving Mocs (HAM)
-The Nest
-The Natural Sciences
-College of Engineering and Computer Sciences
The Nest (nurturing effective and successful teachers) LLC is a unique community for incoming freshmen majoring in education.
“There’s a lot of benefits to this LLC. Not only are they [students] going to live in great apartments, but they’re going to be walking distance to everything, including their core education classes and their field experience. It’s just going to set them on the track that’s going to help them progress as an educator much more early on in their career” says Jonathon Brocco, Nest LLC Cofounder/Coordinator.
Meet Nest’s cofounders and learn more about the particular LLC experience in the video below.
