Welcome to the beginning of the 2017 Mocs Football home season!

The Mocs kick off their home season against UT Martin at 6 p.m. in Finley Stadium and the day is full of activities for fans and students alike!

There are some important new additions to the festivities, such as new dining options at The Plaza and fan tents available under the scoreboard.

Traditions like the Mocs Block Tailgate Party and the Mocs Flock Finley return this year as well.

We’ve gathered everything you need to enjoy the entire day and show your Mocs spirit!

Fan Tailgating

The First Tennessee Pavilion is the headquarters for all tailgating at UTC football games. However, fans are encouraged to tailgate in any lot around the stadium. If you are interested in purchasing a space inside the First Tennessee Pavilion, click here. Otherwise, enjoying tailgating where ever you park around Finley Stadium.

The regular tailgating lot (North Lot) opens at 9 a.m. so get there early to get a good spot! Cost is $10 per car with an option for each car to purchase one additional space for $20. Tailgating behind your vehicle is still permitted with the purchase of one space, blocking off extra spaces will not be permitted. Fan Fest is an area adjacent to the Pavilion where UTC fans can check out promotional offers, free giveaway items, and enter to win great prizes from UTC Mocs Official Partners.

In-Stadium VIP Tents

The Mocs have added in-stadium tailgating this year with prime viewing from tents under the scoreboard. Eight VIP spaces are available for the season or by the game and include cable TV and wifi with catering available. Learn more about the tents under the scoreboards. Mocs Block Tailgate

Students and student groups, you will definitely want to be part of the Mocs Block Tailgate party before each game. Each week, the Mocs Block will showcase a pregame concert as well as a feature tailgate by a student organization. The featured Tailgate of the Week is the only reserved tailgating spot and the remaining area will be first come, first serve on game day.

Previously, the Mocs Block has been open to only student organizations, however, this year it will be open to all students, regardless of affiliation with a student organization. Mocs Block Concert

The Mocs Block Concert Series offers free pre-game concerts to students AND Mocs fans. Walker Hayes will take the stage on September 16 at 4:30 p.m.

For each game, a DJ will kick off the Mocs Block starting 4 hours prior to kick off and will perform until the pregame concert begins, approximately 90 minutes prior to kick off.

Mocs Flock Finley

Mocs Flock Finley was started in the fall 2016 as a collaborative effort to not only welcome our new Mocs to UTC Football but also to create a new tradition on campus. During the first home game, freshman students gather and run across the football field at Finley Stadium prior to kick-off. All participants receive a t-shirt and Power C socks in addition to be entered in a drawing for additional prizes. Flock line-up is 5:15 p.m. with a tailgate for first-year students starting at 4 p.m. Learn more about Mocs Flock Finley.

Food on the Plaza

The Plaza is the area above the locker rooms just inside the gates across from the First Tennessee Pavilion. The Plaza opens pre-game—this week at 1:00 p.m. There will be no access to the stadium seats until 4:30 p.m. Concessions provided by Puckett’s, Rolling J’s, Bones and 2 Sons.

The Plaza will be a great spot to watch the Mocs Walk as the team goes under the pedestrian bridge into the locker room.

Mocs Walk and Spirit Parade

UPDATE: Welcome the team to the stadium and cheer for the Mocs at the Mocs Walk, beginning 2 hours and 15 minutes prior to kickoff. Fans are invited to welcome the Mocs to Finley as they parade through the pavilion. The Mocs Walk will remain in the same location as previous years.

The Spirit Parade will still go through the pavilion at 45 minutes prior to kickoff.

Free Parking for Students, Faculty and Staff and Free CARTA shuttle from campus

Students, faculty, and staff with a valid Mocs Card will be able to access free parking while it lasts at the Chattanoogan Hotel, which is less than a five-minute walk from the Mocs Block. Only two blocks away! The Chattanoogan parking garage is located at 1248 Chestnut Street.

CARTA is adding Finley Stadium to its bus route, so you can conveniently get from campus to the stadium for all of the pregame festivities. No more school buses doing the shuttling—these are the Mocs-branded CARTA busses running from noon until 12:30 a.m., on game days. Students can catch the bus at any of the regular CARTA stops on campus. Drop off at Finley is the corner of Main and Chestnut Streets. Students ride for free with a valid Mocs Card.

Single game and season tickets are still available. Faculty and staff ticket discounts are also available. Get more ticket information and order your tickets.

Students get in free with a validated Mocs ID card by accessing the Student Gate from the Mocs Block off Chestnut Street (scoreboard) side of the stadium
