UTC’s largest academic research conference is back on April 3 and 4. More than 600 presenters representing 50 campus departments will fill the University Center to showcase their scholarly and creative accomplishments.
The event brings together faculty, staff, and students from every academic unit to celebrate scholarship, engagement, the arts, research, creativity, and the humanities.
“ReSEARCH Dialogues is perhaps the only event on campus that brings together a campus-wide showcase of the variety of research, scholarship, and creative endeavors on campus,” Joanne Romagni, vice chancellor for research and dean of the graduate school, said. “It is the proverbial ‘one-stop shop’ for people who are curious about what UTC is doing in any particular field – or across multiple academic disciplines.”
The event includes podium and panel presentations in addition to fun, fast paced contests like three-minute thesis competition and faculty elevator speech competition.
“Research, scholarship, and creative expression are literally the lifeblood of a university,” Romagni said. “Scholarly inquiry promotes excellence among faculty, enriches the learning environment for students, impacts economic development, and fosters a vibrant community of lifelong learners.”
ReSEARCH Dialogues is free and open to the public.
