Artwork created by UTC Department of Art students is now on display at the Cress Gallery of Art’s 2010 Annual Juried Art Exhibition. This year’s juror is Patrick DeGuira, an artist, curator, and educator from Nashville. He selected 43 works from 123 submissions. They include paintings, drawings, mixed media, graphic design, ceramics, and other media.
The Cress Gallery of Art is open from 9:30am to 7:00pm. The gallery is open through intermission for all UTC Patten Series Performances. Admission and all events are free and open to the public. Gallery tours and talks are available on request free of charge.
The exhibition is sponsored by the UTC Friends of the Gallery and is located in the lobby of the UTC Fine Arts Center at 752 Vine Street. The exhibition runs from January 7 through January 26, 2010.
From 123 submissions, 43 works were selected from freshman to senior level including web design, video, digital animation, digital and analog photography, painting, drawing, mixed media, artist’s books, graphic design, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, and work that incorporates two or more media disciplines.

Bowman, Lauren Bubulka, Larry Buffaloboy, Casey Callis, Catherine Coll, Aaron Cowan, Jason Gregory, Tara Harris, Gracie Harvey, Suzanne Heartfield, Katie Holden, Erin Hora, Jessica McGhee, Carlin McRae, Elena Nikolaeva, Austin Reed, Audrey Robertson, Natalie Roig, Sara Rouse, Jennifer Seals, Robin Seaman, Hannah Silver, Lauren Smart, Antonio Snipes Jr., Lisa Srok, Kevin Swenson. Heidi Vasterling, Taylor Wade, Virginia Walker, Brent Weston, Laura H. Winn, Michael Woods, Daniel Wroe, and Casey Yoshida.”
