Interested in an arts or science degree? Learn about more than 60 undergraduate programs in the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) at the upcoming Majors Showcase events.
Cohosted by CAS and Housing the Residence Life, this series of meet-and-greet events happens in West Campus Housing, UTC’s newest residence hall located at the corner of Vine and Houston Streets.
CAS faculty, staff and/or current students will be there to give an overview of each degree programs and information about experiential learning opportunities, internships, unique courses, and more.
For Dr. Joe Wilferth, interim dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, the Majors Showcase is about “meeting students where they are.”
“We’re not sitting in our offices waiting for students to come us. We’re going to them,” Wilferth said. “We want to show students that we’re real people and that we have important information to share with them, information that goes well beyond what they are learning in the classroom. We can help them make good decisions about what majors to pursue and then what they can do with that major after graduation.”
