On March 19th at noon, WUTC FM-88.1, the public radio voice of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, will begin its non-stop broadcasting of WUTC-HD 2. This new service will provide listeners with two five- day- a- week National Public Radio news magazines not currently on the air in the Chattanooga market.
At 10 a.m., the National Public Radio information program ‘The Diane Rehm Show” will be offered each weekday. “Talk of the Nation” will return to the Chattanooga airwaves from 2-4 p.m.
“WUTC HD-2 will also broadcast hours, upon hours, of music,” said Dr. John McCormack, WUTC Station Manager. “The musical mix of rock, blues, reggae, doo wop, and folk will fill the air waves. This will include weekends of non-stop music.”
WUTC HD-2 can be heard on digital radio receivers. Soon WUTC will also complete the contracts to also offer WUTC HD-2 on the radio station’s web site, wutc.org, streaming for those who may want to listen on internet sources.
