The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga offers a wide range of web applications to support new and current students with various tasks.
Assistant Director for Student and Family Engagement Hannah Turcotte said downloading these apps makes it easier to navigate life on campus.
“Finding ways to connect with the work you’re doing or just having fun on campus and building community is really important,” Turcotte said. “I hope students prioritize that while they’re here.”
She added that MocSync, UTC’s student engagement app, is a key tool for connecting students with leadership opportunities, organizations, events and other ways to get involved on campus.
“MocSync is one of the best to use, especially as you’re trying to find a way to get involved on campus,” she explained. “It is our student engagement platform that really focuses on delivering different leadership opportunities, ways to get involved, student organizations and events to connect with on campus.
“It’s definitely a one-stop shop. That is a great way to find a way to connect outside the classroom.”
Turcotte said another valuable part of MocSync is the Student Event Pass, a place where students can find their tickets to events around campus. The passes are saved in a digital wallet through a QR code.
“It’s actually run through MocSync, but you can go to utc.edu/eventpass to download it,” Turcotte said. “It’s a one-time download, so once you’ve downloaded it and you’ve saved it in your wallet, you’re good to go.”
Listed below are other beneficial apps for students. These applications can be found on the UTC website. Several can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play Store.
