Cold weather will not stop UTC students from getting fired up about winter sports at the 4th Annual UTC Bonfire scheduled for Wednesday, November 14 at the Historic Engel Stadium.
The UTC Student Government Association, the Office of the Chancellor, Office of University Relations, Office of Safety and Risk Management, Division of Facilities Management, UTC Marching Band and Chattanooga Spirit, Chattanooga Mocs Athletics, and the Engel Stadium Foundation are all working together to welcome the campus and community to this exciting event.
Hot chocolate and cookies will be served. Engel Stadium will also have snacks for sale, and the proceeds will go towards the upkeep of the field.
“The bonfire is a great UTC tradition that builds school spirit. We really want to keep this tradition alive and make it bigger and bigger every year, and we want students to participate and support our teams. This will also be a chance for students to visit Engel Stadium for the first time, and see what this new part of our campus is like,” said Chuck Cantrell, Associate Vice Chancellor for Communications and Marketing.
UTC students can come as early as 6:30 p.m., show their valid Mocs card and enjoy refreshments and freebies. The fire will be lit and the pep rally will begin at 7 p.m.
