The UTC Cress Gallery of Art’s current exhibition, Matthew Deleget’s “Pictures at an Exhibition” has received a review in ArtForum magazine, long respected and widely known as the decisive voice in the field of contemporary art.“Deleget’s tight show proves the infinite power of the deft gesture,” writes Sylvie Fortin, independent curator and critic, and former editor-in-chief of Art Papers.
This is the ninth nationally published independent review of exhibitions in the Cress Gallery since 2008 and the first in ArtForum.
“This level of exposure and recognition is unprecedented in the history of the Cress and underscores its current role as a vital contributor to the visual arts for the campus, Chattanooga, and the Southeast region,” Ruth Grover, Director and Curator of the Cress Gallery, said.
