Glenn Draper Scholarship recipient named
Brianna Daugherty has been selected to receive the Glenn Draper Scholarship, awarded to a student who has completed two successive years in UTC Choral Activities and has demonstrated successful academic performance. The scholarship was established in 2002 by friends and colleagues of Glenn Draper—it is funded through a UC Foundation endowment.

Two professors earn UTAA Outstanding Teaching Award

Thompson receives UTAA Public Service Award
After serving in the classroom and in the Chattanooga community for more than three decades, Dr. Roger Thompson has earned the University of Tennessee Alumni Association Public Service Award. He works with local government to address crime problems and continues to work on behalf of the homeless population.
WUTC completes spring membership drive
Jacobo Salazar Jr. will enjoy a Caribbean cruise, a special “thank-you” for his contribution to a successful spring membership drive for WUTC, the public radio station licensed to The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Salazar’s name was entered into a drawing along with all campaign contributors and interested station visitors.
University hosts Sisters of the Academy Institute
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Office of Equity and Diversity partnered with Sisters of the Academy Institute (SOTA) to host a writing retreat for UTC faculty. At this retreat, participants had access to coaches and facilitators who provide advice and feedback on dissertations, manuscripts, reports or book chapters.
