Following a lengthy application and interview process, four UTC Finance students were selected to participate in a four-week summer internship with Galtere, Ltd., a commodities-focused hedge fund, in New York City.
UTC to celebrate its 127th anniversary
Birthday cake is on the menu as the University celebrates its Founder’s Day on September 13. The Student Alumni Council and alumni will be serving cake in Heritage Plaza from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in honor of UTC’s 127th anniversary.
Convocation 2013 explores ‘This I Believe’

UTC “paints the town blue & gold”
Local downtown businesses have decked out their stores in UTC colors to help “Paint the Town Blue & Gold” to promote upcoming Mocs Athletics events. In coordination with the RiverCity Company, the UTC Student Government Association and Athletic Department outfitted the 50 businesses with streamers, balloons, and UTC decorations.
Patten Series performers ready to impress
The 2013-14 Patten Performance Series will once again bring nationally and internationally recognized artists to the UTC community and Chattanooga Area. All performances begin at 7:30 p.m. at the UTC Fine Arts Center on the corner of Vine and Palmetto Streets.
Alumnus named UTAA president-elect
UTC alumnus Tom Losh ’71 ’74 will be the next president of The University of Tennessee Alumni Association (UTAA). The association represents more than 335,000 alumni.
Graduate student achieves at national pageant
Educational workshops, anxiety-ridden interviews, and some fun were mixed into the week leading up to the Ms. Wheelchair America 2014 Pageant, where UTC graduate student and Ms. Wheelchair Tennessee 2013 Bliss Welch was named 1st Runner Up.
