Baja SAE team places tenth in design at Washington University
UTC engineering students placed 10th in design, 16th in maneuverability and 22nd in cost at the 2013 Baja Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) International competitions held at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. There were 87 cars registered at the competition. See the results here.

Students, faculty and staff decided to Get in the Game and save a life in spring 2013 and became part of the Be The Match Registry, the cell registry that pairs potential donors with patients suffering from blood cancers.
Anna Lane earns Tennessee Library Association award
Anna Lane, Assistant to the Dean at Lupton Library, received the Tennessee Library Association (TLA) Support Staff Award at the TLA annual conference, held in Chattanooga in April 2013. She was nominated by Theresa Liedtka, Dean of the Lupton Library, and Virginia Cairns, Head of Reference and Instruction.

Will Wade named Mocs Men’s Basketball Coach
University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics David Blackburn announced Will Wade as the new men’s basketball head coach today. Wade just finished his fourth season as an assistant coach at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va., and is the 18th head coach in the history of Chattanooga basketball. Read more here.
Ainsworth named UTC Provost
University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Chancellor-elect Dr. Steven Angle and Interim Chancellor Dr. Grady Bogue announce the appointment of Dr. Jerald Ainsworth as Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs for the campus. Dr. Ainsworth currently serves UTC as a Dean of the Graduate School.
