UTC MPH program celebrates ACEND accreditation
The UTC Master of Public Health (MPH) in Nutrition and Dietetics was granted full accreditation status by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) in May 2024. The achievement was recognized with an accreditation ceremony on Wednesday, Sept. 4, in the University Center Chickamauga Room.

Not only was Rakiesha Lewis a full-time criminal justice student completing an undergraduate degree at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2020, but she was also a full-time mom of three. Four years later, she is a full-time employee coming back to UTC to pursue a Master of Science in Criminal Justice.
Got your goat? UTC students relax with furry yoga buddies
Around 140 University of Tennessee at Chattanooga students visited Chamberlain Field on Wednesday, Aug. 21, to unwind during the first week of classes, along with some four-legged friends—goats. Goat yoga, hosted by the Center for Wellbeing and the Office of Student and Family Engagement, is a Welcome Week tradition in which students attempt their best yoga poses while goats jump on their backs, bellies and shoulders.

When you step into the Bursar’s office at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, it won’t be difficult to spot Jackie Jones. Her bubbly personality is inviting, and she will not hesitate to answer your Bursar-related questions. Not only is she a staff member at UTC, but she is also a recent alum. Jones graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communication in May, so she understands the questions that come with being a student.
