It’s time to register for summer school! Summer school is all about helping students register for the classes you need so you can graduate sooner. We have streamlined the schedule to include two six-week sessions and one 12-week session. Day and evening classes will be offered during all of the sessions. Summer class sessions begin May 14 and June 25.
Faculty retirees recognized
The UTC Faculty Senate and the entire campus community recognize the 2014 faculty retirees for their outstanding service to the University. This group was recently honored at a faculty dinner where Chancellor Steve Angle commended the group for serving with distinction and dedication and for touching the lives of countless students across all disciplines.

New classes available for the summer
With the spring semester beginning to wind down, summer classes are just around the corner. A number of new courses will be offered this summer, adding to an already extensive selection. Several departments have introduced new online sections of courses or added new sections since summer registration began.
2014-15 FYRE book selected
The Postmortal by Drew Magary has been chosen by the First Year Reading Experience (FYRE) committee as the FYRE book for 2014-2015. FYRE introduces students to the academic and intellectual culture of university life. It nurtures the belief that reading is an integral part of the university experience.
Students present road study to Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce
A group of UTC civil engineering students took their research out of a lab and into the real world. The group addressed traffic headaches at the intersection of Gunbarrel and East Brained Road, one of the busiest in the city.
Design and Research Project Showcase on April 22
The UTC College of Engineering and Computer Science Second Annual Design and Research Project Showcase will feature assistive technology and senior design projects including the MiniBaja vehicle and the Steel Bridge. The showcase will be held Tuesday, April 22, 4-6 p.m. on the 4th floor of the UTC Engineering, Math, and Computer Science building, corner of Vine and Palmetto Streets. The public is welcome.
Top seniors honored by Student Government Association
UTC Student Government Association recently honored 113 students at the 2014 Outstanding Senior Awards Ceremony. This annual event recognizes seniors who have made significant contributions and accomplished outstanding achievements within their degree programs. In addition to being honored, students were also asked to invite a favorite professor to attend the ceremony.
