MLK Day of service benefits local school
What began as a small service project to honor the memory of Martin Luther King, Jr., blossomed into a large group of nearly 90 happy, helpful students, faculty, and staff from UTC who populated the halls of Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy (CGLA). There, several improvements were made on January 20.

Three UTC students walked away with start-up capital and a paid trip to Tampa, Florida, following the second annual Elevator Pitch Competition. HHP offers new Master’s Degree, Physical Activity and Health
In fall 2014, the Health and Human Performance Department will officially begin to offer a new Master’s Degree, Physical Activity in Health. This new degree focuses on public health and health promotion. The focus will be on promoting health within community based organizations, which might mean neighborhoods, work sites, corporations, small businesses, or school settings.
