The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga recently hosted the Tennessee Hospitality Roadshow to emphasize the importance of the industry to students and faculty. The event, held at the Wolford Family Athletic Center, was brought to campus by the Tennessee Hospitality and Tourism Association.

As the sun set at the end of a snowy Wednesday, a group of runners made their way around the track at Girls Preparatory School. The group, made up of mostly UTC students along with a few faculty members and local residents, was part of the “Chattanooga Marathon Project” research initiative.
New class explores the music scene(s) in Chattanooga
A new ethnomusicology class at UTC sends students to various venues around town to get an idea of what’s going on musically in Chattanooga. They then report what they’ve discovered over the course of the semester in podcasts, short films or photo essays.
