University community and friends honor Provost Phil Oldham

Though he’ll always carry a bit of blue and gold in his heart, Provost Phil Oldham was given a purple and yellow sendoff to celebrate his new role at Tennessee Tech University, where he will become the institution’s ninth President on July 1, 2012.

USA TODAY Readership program continues in spring semester

USA TODAY Readership program on the UTC campus concluded its pilot program in early December with students reading 10,124 newspapers over 20 days for an average of 506 newspapers read daily.  The Chattanooga Times Free Press is also included in the program. UTC’s Challenger Center receives a new name

UTC’s Challenger Learning and Teaching Center has a new name. Dr. Richard G. Rhoda, Executive Director of Tennessee’s Higher Education Commission (THEC) recently approved a name change from the Challenger Learning and Teaching Center to the Challenger STEM Learning Center.
