UTC students provide free health screenings at Minority Health Fair

The UTC School of Nursing (SON) and the Department of Health and Human Performance (HHP) students teamed up to work a multi-station booth at the 13th Annual Minority Health Fair hosted by the Southeast Tennessee Health Consortium Foundation in Chattanooga On Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the Eastgate Towncenter.

UTC’s Department Head of Health and Human Performance (HHP) Gary Ligouri PhD, FACSM confirmed as Senior Editor for American College of Sports Medicine’s (ACSM) Health-related Physical Fitness Assessment Manual, 5th edition.

Interior Design students reimagine Chattanooga buildings

Students in UTC’s Interior Design department worked with Cornerstones on projects focused on historic preservation and reimaging some Chattanooga landmarks. Dr. Valerie Rutledge among 2015 Women of Distinction

Dr. Valerie Copeland Rutledge, Dean of the College of Health, Education and Professional Studies, was honored by the American Lung Association as a Woman of Distinction.
