Be a part of Elect Her—Campus Women Win

Elect Her–Campus Women Win is the only program in the country that encourages and trains college women to run for student government and future political office. Elect Her is a collaboration between the American Association of University Women (AAUW) and Running Start. It addresses the need to encourage women to run for office and to diminish the longstanding political leadership gender gap.

Thaddeus Johnson honored by SGA

In a loving gesture, UTC student Natasha Johnson, who is working on her Ed.D. in Learning and Leadership, nominated her husband Thaddeus to become SGA Student of the Month.

Spring Career Fair featured 100 exhibitors

The Spring Career Fair, which took place on February 4, was the biggest one since before the U.S. economic recession, hosting 100 exhibitors on campus to talk to students about full time and part time positions, internships, and graduate school opportunities.

New UTC residence hall will be integral piece of Vine Street development

During the summer of 2015, ground will be broken for a new 600-bed residence hall to be built at the corner of Houston and Vine Streets. Its doors will open onto Vine, a street ripe for development from Houston to Georgia Avenue. The University, River City Company, and UNUM are working together to produce a thriving residential community with appealing retail establishments.

UTC Theater Company Presents Hedda Gabler

UTC Theatre Company in conjunction with the First Tennessee Foundation presents Jon Robin Baitz’s adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler, the classic play full of big ideas, unexpected twists and a title character that has become iconic. UTC faculty and students will bring this classic and rich play to life for six performances. The performance will be in UTC’s Dorothy Hackett Ward Theatre, in UTC’s Fine Arts Center. The
