The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga has achieved record enrollment for fall 2007. The total number of students enrolling at UTC this fall is 9,558, which represents a 7.12 percent increase from fall 2006. The campus also saw a significant growth in freshman enrollment with approximately 1,950 first-time students.
“I am very thankful to everyone on campus for a smooth start to this year,” said UTC Chancellor Roger Brown. “Students are choosing UTC as a destination campus for their higher educations, and that is demonstrated by this significant growth. We are very pleased.”
UTC was again ranked this year by U.S. News and World Report among the top Master’s Level universities in the South and was among the top 15 public universities in that same category.
