UTC Children’s Center decorates holiday tree
Little hands from the UTC Children’s Center put the finishing blue and gold touches on the holiday tree in the lobby of Founders Hall. “This year, we updated the tree with our school colors,” said Chuck Cantrell, UTC spokesman. “After we decorated with lights and balls, we asked Linda Rivers, Director of the UTC Children’s Center, if the children could make ornaments. They did a great job, and came and hung their creations on the tree.”
University participates in 2007 Holiday Starlight Parade
A blue and gold train carrying UTC cheerleaders and SGA members participated in the Holiday Starlight Parade in early December. UTC University Relations staff organized and sponsored the event.
Presented by Publix Super Markets, the parade proceeded from Miller Park up Market Street to the Tennessee Aquarium. This event is produced by the Chattanooga Downtown Partnership and has been recognized as Chattanooga’s largest holiday parade for the past 11 years. With a succession of unique holiday entries, this event is known for its dazzling Yuletide theme featuring performing groups, marching units, vehicles and floats all strung in twinkling lights.
