LTCM is an alternative investment firm located in Chattanooga, Tennessee which currently manages approximately $160 million for high net worth individuals, endowments, and foundations. The company is the general partner to the LT Market Neutral Fund, the LT Low Volatility Fund, and the Global Maximum Pessimism Fund. In addition, Ms. Templeton is the president and founder of the Southeastern Hedge Fund Association, Inc., and serves on a variety of business and university organizations’ boards. Templeton is also the great niece of Sir John M. Templeton, and co-author of the book Investing the Templeton Way: The Market Beating Strategies of Value Investing’s Legendary Bargain Hunter. Templeton graduated with a B.A. in Economics from the University of the South in 1998.
Scott Phillips
Portfolio Manager, Head of Research, Lauren Templeton Capital Management
Prior to working with Lauren Templeton Capital Management, LLC, Phillips founded Cumberland Capital Corp, located in Chattanooga, TN in 2004. Cumberland Capital provided equity research services to Green Cay Asset Management, a hedge fund management company located in Nassau, Bahamas for high net worth clients and institutional investors. Before consulting with Green Cay, he was an equity research analyst with SunTrust Robinson Humphrey in Atlanta, GA from January of 1999 to December of 2003.
Phillips also co-authored the book Investing the Templeton Way: The Market Beating Strategies of Value Investing’s Legendary Bargain Hunter. He received his B.A. in English from the University of the South in May of 1997. Phillips is currently a Level II CFA candidate and is obtaining his Post Graduate Diploma in Economics from the University of London.

Tenth Street Capital Partners, LLC makes investments in small to middle market companies in the form of mezzanine debt. Along with sustainable cash flow, these companies will generally have revenue between $5 and $50 million. The fund invests $1 – 3 million per transaction, but has the ability to participate in larger transactions. The fund principally invests in service, manufacturing, and distribution businesses.
Duke is the former President of SunTrust Bank Chattanooga and the Livingston Company, a merchant bank. He brings nearly 30 years experience in direct lending and management in both commercial and mezzanine lending.
Duke received his bachelor’s degree from Davidson College and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
