More than $120,000 was pledged in the WUTC-FM fall membership drive, which concluded recently. Loyal listeners support the radio station so that it can continue its mission of providing informational and musical programming to the Chattanooga area, said Dr. John McCormack, WUTC Station Manager.
“Though these are serious financial times, listeners have matched the giving level of fall 2007. They have shown that they continue to be committed to maintaining quality public radio programming,” McCormack said.
WUTC is the National Public Radio station for the region, the area’s source for Morning Edition, Day to Day, and All Things Considered. Besides the informational offerings of NPR, PRI, and APM, WUTC also offers up a unique mix of music that is selected from singer/song-writers, jazz, blues, and adult alternative musical formats.
Broadcasts can be heard on analog and digital radios at 88.1 FM. The station is also available on the web at www.wutc.org.
