A child slave ring between Haiti and New York became the focus of a recent episode of “Law and Order” on NBC, and soon this topic will be discussed on campus. On Thursday, January 22, Dr. Obi N. I. Ebbe will present “Global Trafficking in Women and Children” from 12:15-1:30 p.m. in the Raccoon Mountain Room of the UTC University Center. This event is free and open to the public.
Ebbe, a professor of criminology and sociology, has published numerous articles on global trafficking. He is a consultant of the United Nations International Scientific and Professional Advisory Council in Transnational Crime, Terrorism, Corruption, and Human Trafficking.
