World-renowned artist, illustrator, and 1993 UTC Distinguished Alumnus Barry Moser will speak on September 17 at 7 p.m. in the UTC University Center Auditorium. He will address “The Livery of Art: Seeing, Believing, and Chalk.” The talk is free and open to the public.
Moser will speak on the occasion of the dedication of the Barry Moser Collection, housed in the Special Collections of Lupton Library. He will also be visiting with select classes during his visit to UTC.
The Barry Moser Collection in the Special Collections includes over 150 books illustrated by Moser, including classics and children’s books. The collection also includes original art, calendars, posters, and advertisements illustrated by Moser.
A reception and a book signing will follow Moser’s talk. Copies of some of Moser’s books will be for sale at the event.
